Congratulations to EDG Property’s Neil Edginton who has made it in to Property Week’s 2012 ‘Hot 100’.
Listed as ‘one to watch’ in the real estate market, Neil’s achievements since his appointment on the Board of Birmingham Development Company at the age of 26, continue to be noted.
It has been five years since Property Week last ran its ‘Hot 100’ list, which seeks to identity the rising stars of the property sector. This year, in partnership with law firm Irwin Mitchell, over 1000 voted for the under 35’s making an impression in today’s challenging market.
As each day passes at Sandfields Barn, what stood on the site more than a century ago becomes easier to comprehend.
The reinstatement of the original link between barns is now clear to see and progress on site is now motoring. The roof is on and the beautiful hand crafted oak windows installed.
Groundworks have been keeping us busy, but the services are now live. A sewage treatment plant is sitting comfortably underground, along with a rainwater harvesting system. We are looking forward to admiring the green roof that will blend the full-height glazed link into the rolling landscape.
Stand inside the brick barn and the beauty of the oak beams is already apparent; soon to be a cosy snug with log burning fire. The locally sourced lias stone will remain exposed throughout.
The moat is now dug out and with the century-old well now re-excavated and walls rebuilt, the outside space is beginning to take shape.
With the sun shining at Sandfields Barn it’s easy to imagine what life will be like here.
From his role at the jewellery box that is The Cube to the cover of Birmingham’s new GEM Magazine, EDG Property’s Neil Edginton appears to be making an impression.
The new glossy magazine has awarded Neil pride of place with front cover and lead feature coverage in their launch issue. Talking of his time at The Mailbox and his vision for new Harborne scheme, The School Yard.
The magazine aims to promote what’s ‘hot’ in the south west of Birmingham, with local interest stories and events promotion.
The EDG Property team wish GEM Magazine every success in the future.
The sun certainly put his hat on for this year’s Harborne Carnival, Britain’s biggest street party outside Notting Hill and EDG Property were proud to be sponsors on this glorious summer’s day.
This year, the High Street embraced its Diamond Jubilee theme, decked in bunting whilst hosting an abundance of fairground rides, stalls and entertainment. The School Yard’s famous Clock Tower even adorned Union Jack flags!
Neil Edginton, EDG Property said; “It was great to see such a fantastic turn out and the Harborne community enjoying themselves at this family event, all credit to the organisers. We are looking forward to The School Yard being a part of these celebrations in the future.”
Organised by the Harborne Carnival Association, the event has raised in excess of £200,000 for charity since its inception in 1998.
