The Cube Hosts Christmas Event for Residents & Tenants
On Tuesday 2nd December, Neil Edginton of EDG Property welcomed The Cube community in the central atrium area to enjoy an evening of festive merriment and Gluhwein, hosted by The Management Team. Enjoying food from Brazilian restaurant, Rodizio Rico, and the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse, Bar & Grill, guests were also treated to live music performed by choirs from across the region. EDG secures more space for Highways Agency at The Cube
Having been The Cube’s first commercial tenant back in 2010, The Highways Agency has now signed with EDG Property to secure even more space at this landmark address. Neil Edginton of EDG Property secured the Department of Transport’s Executive Agency for The Cube over 4 years ago with a letting of 60,000 sqft across three floors. And now, the executive agency sponsored by the Department of Transport are all set to occupy a further 8,000 sqft on Level 8 with EDG managing the fit-out ready for their occupation in March 2015. Grand Plans for Fort Dunlop
EDG Property is working alongside London headquartered Tristan Capital Partners to asset manage and develop Fort Dunlop, following the building acquisition from Urban Splash in August 2014. This latest deal marks £390m of assets under management and/or development for EDG Property. Originally built in 1920 and standing empty for 22 years prior to redevelopment in the 2000’s, Fort Dunlop is already an award winning Birmingham landmark, primarily Grade A office-led. Harborne clock tower development The School Yard sold
The clock tower building in Harborne has been sold in an undisclosed deal after being redeveloped in the depths of the recession. City firm EDG Property has sold the first phase of The School Yard development to asset management company Avignon Capital. The scheme at the Grade II-listed Victorian former school, famous for its clock tower, is now fully let but EDG Property director Neil Edginton said it had been a major turnaround from when he first unveiled the scheme in a depressed property market in 2012. Spectus start construction at The School Yard
It’s been an exciting week at The School Yard with work commencing on EDG Property’s residential building with Spectus Construction having been awarded the £2.1m build contract for phase 2 of the Harborne scheme. The Worcestershire based Spectus Construction is all set to deliver the final part of this successful mixed-use development with a contemporary zinc building home to thirteen boutique apartments, duplexes and townhouse. It will be the first of its kind locally and shall sit alongside the oasis of the new £1/4m private square and period charm of the clock tower buildings.
