As the seasons change, horticultural experts get to work at EDG Property’s Sandfields Barn with landscaping works that will soon bring the Stratford-upon-Avon development to life. Avon Woodlands, who specialise in the design and construction of gardens and landscaping, has been commissioned to plan and deliver a considered soft landscaping scheme. Established for over 25 years and based locally in Luddington, the company covers the Midlands, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire areas. Topping out has been taken to an entirely new level at EDG Property’s Sandfields Barn, Luddington, with the installation of a green roof to the contemporary glazed link. From field to roof in the same weekend, the lush pre-grown vegetation mat utilises a mix of sixteen varieties of sedum plants. All responsibly sourced and sustainably grown in the UK, the sedum is drought resistant and low maintenance. Back to the future at Sandfields
As each day passes at Sandfields Barn, what stood on the site more than a century ago becomes easier to comprehend. The reinstatement of the original link between barns is now clear to see and progress on site is now motoring. The roof is on and the beautiful hand crafted oak windows installed. Groundworks have been keeping us busy, but the services are now live. A sewage treatment plant is sitting comfortably underground, along with a rainwater harvesting system.
